You will learn and practice team preparation for a pediatric crisis. Included in this learning is identifying the onset of shock, as well as respiratory and cardiovascular emergencies in children and infants.

This comprehensive Pediatric Advanced Life Support class begins with basic life support and CPR testing for 1 and 2 rescuers on child and infant. Recognizing and managing respiratory emergencies, intubation, intravenous and intra-osseous vascular access are also covered in detailed. The pediatric assessment approach of Identify, Intervene, and Evaluate is a focus throughout the class. The class concludes with actual PALS cases and a final written examination.

CPR Memphis is an American Heart Association training site located in Memphis TN. All of our classes are taught in a comfortable, non-threatening environment that allows the student to maximize their understanding of all AHA concepts and materials for each class type. This PALS class in Memphis is a one-day course that will culminate with the successful student earning and receiving a 2 year PALS provider card. This AHA card is good for 2 years. As the 2 year date approaches, the student must take a recertification class in order to renew their PALS certification. It is essential that each healthcare provider renews every 2 years, as it is important to keep up with changing algorithms and research that is learned. In addition, renewing skills and preparation for a variety of critical situations is paramount.
